Aecom

Sellafield is a large multi-function nuclear site and is owned by the NDA which is a non-governmental body of the UK government and directly employs about 10,000 people. Following a period 2008-2016 of management by a private consortium, the site has been returned to direct government control by making the Site Management Company, Sellafield Limited a subsidiary of the NDA.

The site is due to be fully decommissioned by 2120 and to achieve this, Sellafield was looking to form a Public Private Partnership (PPP) to manage the decommissioning programme. Aecom was one of the three organisations down selected to bid for the Programme Integrator position. Our role was to support Aecom through the bidding process.

We supported the Aecom team in shaping the value proposition and differentiation points; facilitated the planning workshops; co-developed the win strategy against the win plan; storyboarded the question responses as part of the win plan development. In addition to this, we created a bid identity and branded proposition for the bid presentation and coached the lead team for interview.
